Live and Streaming Performances by the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra

Kathy Sloane joined New York City’s Brown Harris Stevens as a real estate broker in 1986. In this position, she has helped a number of notable clients find their ideal homes. When she is not engaged in real estate transactions, Kathy Sloane supports local charities and arts groups, such as the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.

Located in New York City, the Grammy Award-winning Orpheus Chamber Orchestra has established a unique reputation for innovative collaboration, allowing classical chamber musicians to interpret various scores rather than follow the direction of a conductor. The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra provides patrons with a number of live and online musical events. On October 27, 2016, the orchestra’s Christian Zacharias will perform Beethoven’s Quintet for Piano and Winds in E flat major on the Perelman Stage in Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall. Pianist Fazil Say will play at the same location on December 3.

The orchestra is not relegated to New York City performances, however, and often goes on the road. On December 1, the Orpheus on Tour program will visit the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Greenvale, New York. Individuals who cannot attend a performance may be able to stream the event at a later date at www.orpheusnyc.org. The website also provides further information on upcoming shows and on ways to support the orchestra.
